Study One Well Under Way

Study one is well under way headed by Prof. Eyvind Elstad (University of Oslo) with the support of Lars Vavik, Gavriel Salomon and Thomas Arnesen. Several focus group interviews have been carried out by Arnesen and the construction of a student survey was initiated by the leadership troika on a three-day workshop in Bergen 2.-4.September. Vavik has accepted an invitation by the Finnish Teacher Association to present the project in Helsinki mid-November, by which time the survey should be ready for piloting. In return, the association will help out with the process of piloting and distributing the survey in Finland.

The Norwegian Research Council grants $2 million to L21

We are happy to announce that the project, L21, is up and running after receiving a generous grant from the Norwegian Research Council. L21 was among the 7 of 56 projects granted money. Prof.Vavik will hold the keynote at the Nordic Teacher Education Conference in Kalmar Sweden on the 7.May presenting the project’s rationale.
